Table Extravaganza

This will be important in knowing how many linen is needed, if the chosen venue space is feasible, decor design for the event, and most importantly, the cost.

Depending on the style of your reception, you may need the following tables:

  • Your Head Table- a long table for you, your groom, and wedding party, and/or
  • A Sweetheart Table- this table would be an intimate table for you and your boo
  • Cake Table-your fabulous cake must be shown off and this table will do it
  • Buffet Table- if you're not having a seated meal, you will need a table or two (please, no potlucks) I had to put that tidbit in here.
  • Candy Buffet (optional)- you can display some sweet treats that are your favs or color coordinated with your theme to serve as favors and dessert for your guests
  • Guest Tables- normally tables will accommodate up to 8 people
  • Signing Table- whether you have a signature mat, photo guestbook, or another way for guests to leave sentiments, you will need a table for it
  • Escort Card Table- if you will have escort cards, you can set them up nicely on their own table
  • DJ Table- he (or she) usually needs a larger rectangular shaped table to place all of the equipment on
  • Gift Table- certainly you know what this table is for
  • Groom's Cake- you can put the groom's cake and his interests on this table

You can create your own table layout on your home computer or have your venue create one for you. This will help you and your planner/designer with what is needed to make this day fabulous! Hope this helps!
