Saying Goodbye with Grace

I was reading a post from a fab planner, LaKendra with Affairs with Elegance who shared light with her readers about following up with vendors after the initial meeting. You can also read more about the proper ways to follow up with your vendors here: fabu{luxe} blog by another fab fellow wedding planner, Terrica at Fabuluxe Events.

Just to give you a briefing, many event professionals receive email and phone inquiries about their services and products from potential clients on a daily to weekly basis. When a vendor schedules to meet with a potential client, a lot of thought and planning goes into the initial meeting(s) with the client in mind. Sometimes after meeting with the vendor a potential client may choose to hire another vendor, go it without one, or who knows what else comes to play. Whatever the decision made after the meeting, a common courtesy to the vendor is to follow-up with a phone call or email to let the vendor know where you stand. It is important for us as professionals to follow-up with our clients (current and potential) and it is more than expected to receive that from the other end.

...so go on over and read Terrica's post and LaKendra's to hear her (professional vendors) thoughts!
