Our Website
It's a miracle! You don't have to look at the ugly blank screen while I wait on my new website. The old site is back up and running... When we're settled in our new digs, I'll let you know. Have a great weekend.

We're Under Construction...
The Pink Tea Rose Events website is under construction and we will hopefully have our new website up very soon (like on Monday, seriously!). So, if you have tried to access our page...it's not pretty-it's not even a page. I'm working very fast trying to get the new digs ready so please excuse the dust as I clean up.
I decided at the wrong time to change it (on the weekend) when my provider's hours of operation are weekdays only. (can you see my sad face?!) The result of a hasty new website decision....no website over the weekend! (now, I'm pouting). But, the wait may be good for me.
However, you can still contact me via email. I will let you know when our new site is up for you to take a looksy! Enjoy your weekend, dahlings!

Diva's Holiday Break
Happy Holidays! I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. It was amazing to have a whole week to do last minute preparations to the house and for gift giving. I must say...I'm enjoying the time off.
I am pretty sure that there were quite of few engagement proposals, too. But, if not, many pretty ladies get their bling during the New Year festivities. How exciting?!
The Pink Tea Rose Events office remain closed until Tuesday, January 5th. Please feel free to email us at info {at} thepinktearose {dot} com. Continue to enjoy your holiday!

PTRE Update: VACATION
That's right! Pink Tea Rose Events will be closed for some vacation time. Don't get jealous, yet, we are not taking our private jet to the islands to be waited on hand and foot. (but wouldn't that be nice?)
We have had a very busy summer and need some time to remind the family and friends that we really do love them. You understand, don't you?! Sure you do.
We will wrap up this weekend with two weddings and then our office will be closed October 5-26, 2009. Although we're on vacay, you will still here from us through the blog, twitter, and good ole' faithful facebook.
In the meantime, continue to check out our blog and visit us on Twitter or Facebook to let us know what you've been up to. Have a great weekend!

We have received some great feedback from the Kiss the Brides Expo and we are so excited to prepare to announce the winners of our drawing for a free custom unity candle set. We will have more information on tomorrow for you happy brides. So stay tuned and check your emails. And, immediately after we announce our winners we will be taking some time to break before continuing the busy wedding season. Our office will be closed beginning on today, Thursday, June 11-Monday, June 16. The Planning Diva and Mr. Officer are celebrating our 6th Marriage Anniversary so, of course, I have to take some time off. Right?!

Our First Show: Kiss the Brides Expo 2009

Pink Tea Rose Events had a busy, busy weekend. On Saturday, we planned a beautiful shower for a fab couple and then on Sunday we got ready for our first bridal show, Kiss the Brides Expo at Alltel Arena in Little Rock.
I had the best assistant with me, my husband (Mr. Officer). He was superb at assisting brides-to-be and talking with their grooms, handing out cards, encouraging the brides to enter our drawing, and giving out our personalized goodies. And, not to mention set-up. He gets the credit.
Although some things went completely wrong the day before with my banner, my rentals were unable to be picked up, and my fresh out-of-the-box digital frame with photos decided to not work, but I don't think that it sold the booth short of too much. Brides really liked the space and were drawn in by the zebra and hot pink...so I'm thrilled. We gathered what we had on hand and made fabulous lemonade out of the lemons that were handed.
I will post detail shots of our booth shortly but had to post these pictures that were taken by a great photographer in the Little Rock area, Eli Murray Photography.
Thanks, Eli for the fab shots! And, thanks to Tisha Kemp of Kemp Video for inviting to the expo.

Thankful Thoughts
I sat down at the computer for the usual "inbox" check and I received a heartfelt email from a client/friend {which happens to be related to me} that shared with me her gratitude for me and Monica assisting her with her business opening.
By no means, did I just do her event because I found out that we were related-this was an act of kindness that I truly wanted to demonstrate. I would love to do every event for free because I just "love" planning and designing but this case was different and was a donated service for the owner. Just know that when you give, it will be returned to you and in this case, I am still receiving my return. So, please no calls or emails asking me to do your event for free:)
Here's what was in my inbox this evening:
Tish, There are absolutely no words I can think of that would properly Thank You for your work you did with the business opening of Refining Images but I'll try. When I contacted you, I was simply ordering invitations and water bottle labels, that's all. Once you realized I didn't have an official coordinator for the event you unselfishly gave your time and ideas to help me pull the event together, at the last minute. The next thing I know, you drove all the way from Pine Bluff to Little Rock right after work with help in hand and was decorating my event with your own supplies and decor, and would not accept one dime from me! Who does that? It was no one but God who strategically allowed our paths to cross. You exhibit such a spirit of excellence and servant hood unlike any I have ever seen. You are the best kept secret in Pine Bluff, but not for long. I am so glad to not only have found a friend but also a sister in Christ. Rest assured that whatever event I have in the future, I will be calling on The Planning Diva Extraordinaire.
Sherri Brewer
Refining Images
Thank you so much Sherri for allowing me the opportunity to assist with your event. It was a pleasure and Monica and I had a blast. I look forward to working with you on upcoming events as well. By the way, Sherri is one of just a few Certified Image Consultants in our State. If you would like to book her for a consultation, please send me an email.

Faux Bride, No Way!
.this is what led me to this particular post. A few days ago, I received an email from an alleged "bride" that stated that she read the blog regularly and was planning a budget conscious wedding and found a particular company that offered a product and she wanted me to check it out and possibly post about it. It sounded very geniune and real at first but as I went to view the X company, I googled it in and the "bride's" name appeared in the search results with X company....hum...strange! As I continued to look at the search results this same person posted similar comments to wedding bloggers blogs and then I located a wedding vendor site in a very large and sunny east coast state and the site had her listed as the contact person for X company. I emailed the "bride" and asked her if she worked for or owned the business and, of course, she didn't reply back. Here's my point, if you are a bride and you've found a great resource that you'd like to share with other brides, please continue to share. If you are business that is trying to get your name out and see networking with wedding and other professionals will help, please continue to share. I've never had a problem with sharing helpful tidbits and resources along to my readers as long as the business and the contact are legitimate. Honesty is the best way to do business and it certainly guarantees the longevity of your company and its standards. Other vendors will trust you if you are upfront with them. This goes to brides and vendors. Be yourself and sell yourself with integrity. And, that's all that I have to say about that. Toodles, dahlings!

{the diva will return shortly}
Hey Diva Darlings! This is my last week away from the 9-5 and I have had a blessed+busy summer. To start the week off, I was hit with some kinda bug that keeps in you in two places: the bed+bath {room}. BTW, I'm feeling much better, now.TPTR will be closing up shop just for a few days {Aug. 5-11} to get some much needed rest and spend time with family. Oh, how they are so neglected. All emergency emails will be answered ASAP. And, phone calls will be returned on our return week. In the meantime, please check out our "Fab Reads" section and have a great time visiting some of my favorite blogs. Thank you for your patience and loyalty. Toodles!
