Zipper Chic

When I ran across these gorgeous vintage jars wrapped in none other than zippers, I knew I had to share it with you.  I can already think of the things that I could do with them like fill them with fresh flowers for a swank little dinner party or display them on a book shelf or coffee table for a great conversation piece.  I just love this.

I'm Lovin': Brooch Bouquets

I LOVE!!!

I am in love with the newest bouquet trend using brooches in place of flowers.  How stunning does this look?  And, not to mention what a creative way to incorporate priceless heirlooms passed down from grandparents and other family members.  The only thing I say is, you better not toss this beauty at the reception to the single ladies.

Floral designer, Amanda Heer, owner of Fantasy Floral Designs, creates these beautiful bouquets and can be found here or on Etsy.  Check them out for yourself and be amazed at how fabulous these stunning pieces are.

Etsy Find: Davie and Chiyo Clutches

Davie and Chiyo on Etsy is showing out!

One of my favorite online retail therapy clinics sites is Etsy.  These cute little clutches would be great for gifts for your bridal party...and they can be personalized, too!  And why not shop for yourself, too?

One of my personal favorites and "wants".  This gorgeous black clutch with oversized bow. So girly.

A great bridal clutch wouldn't you agree?!  There many more pretties in their online boutique to check out.  Enjoy!

Pantone Color for 2010: Turquoise

 Spelled - Turquoise

It is in!  The Pantone 2010 color of the year is, Turquoise.  The soothing but bold color resembles the dreamy look of an ocean and is sure to be seen on the runways and treading along many wedding aisles next year.  I really believe that this is a great color that can slow dance with almost any color.  Pair it with pink, reds, browns, greens, and even purples but you don't have to stop there--yellows will add a brightening touch, too!

I'm excited about this color because I have at least three darling and daring couples that have already adopted Turquoise as their wedding color with some exciting elements to compliment it.

And, I couldn't resist sharing with you a pair of Turquoise shoes that are high on my Holiday wish list.  The shoes above are by Paris Hilton and have the most gorgeous pink sole (watch out Louboutin!).  They're on my wish list because they are…SOLD OUT!  But, seriously, look how gorgeous they are.

If you are using Turquoise as your wedding color, what other accents or colors will you be using?  Tell me, I'm excited to hear all about it.

Many Bridesmaids, One Dress

Short Twist Wrap Dress

 Long Twist Wrap Dress

I first saw this convertible dress on David Tutera's, My Fair Wedding.  David took one of his brides to a salon that offered the Dessy Twist Wrap Dress to brides who have bridesmaids of various shapes and sizes.  Before our eyes, the salon associate took the same style dress and twisted and wrapped each girl so that the dress was flattering.  The styles are almost endless.  This can really take the witchhunt out of dress shopping for your bridesmaids.  But, don't just stop with your girls!  The Twist Wrap Dress is a great item to have in your own wardrobe (I'm leaning towards the black one).  One dress for many occasions!

The dresses are available in short and long length and also in a variety of the season's hottest colors.  To find  the nearest retailer, visit here.

Chameleon Chairs...a beautiful trend!

I believe that chair covers are trying to make a slow exit out of the building. Certainly, they provide an inexpensive and eye pleasing solution to the standard banquet or folding chair but there are some new chairs in town that are aim to please...Chameleon Chairs. A bit different from the Chiavari Chair, chameleon chairs are about the same in rental costs (appr. $8) and are available in various colors.

Safe Blaze

I found these remote control candles at Bed, Bath & Beyond and thought they were amazing. Some venues prohibit the use of candles and this would be a great way to still incorporate the look of a candle. You could line the entrance way with these battery operated fellows and not have to worry about a clumsy guest knocking them over to cause a fire-y scene.

Not only would these candles be great for a safe and fireproof event but at home. These are even perfect if you have small children or pets.

Hangin' in Style

As I look at wedding albums and photograpers websites, I'm seeing more pictures of the wedding gown hanging prior to the bride wearing it. These make some really great photos. And a fellow wedding planner blogger, Aletha at Pearls Events had a great post about the ugly hangers that we tend to leave the dresses on that will be captured in these memorable shots.

I found some interesting options for hangers just for that perfect shot of a perfect dress. It's all in the details, right?! Right.

I love the idea of having your monogram placed on the hangers. I absolutely love it!

I must say that I went to this website and can't understand a word because the website is in a foreign language. But, I had to share this picture because I thought the names on the wooden hangers were a perfect idea to personalize your big day!

Cute plush hangers would look great for your gown and even the bridesmaids gowns. Plush hangers come in a variety of colors such as bridal white, ivory, black. They're almost available at most bridal and lingerie boutiques.

Now, these diva darlings are too gorgeous! Mink hangers, anyone?

Put Your Ring In It

Have you decided where you are going to put your fabulous wedding ring after you return home from the honeymoon? Hopefully, you're not like me and put it in with your jewelry soup (that is, all of your jewelry combined). I've made a conscious effort to find something to keep my sacred piece of bling and therefore began my search for a pretty ring box. If you haven't, join me in finding our rings a perfect little nighttime home. This would even be a great gift registry item for you and your groom or a great and thoughtful shower gift to a bride-to-be or newlywed.

The Art of Chair Covers

Chair Covers can take a room from blah to beautiful! If you're working with a venue where the chairs will just not go with your decor or even your taste, chair covers are an inexpensive way to add that needed touch.

Most event rental companies offer chair covers in various colors and styles with sashes. If you're interested in renting chair covers and sashes for your next event, be sure to get a measurement of the actual chair that you will be covering so that you can order the right size. Your planner or banquet facility may have this information right at their fingertips for you.

There's Nothing Hippie About These!

Because they're just HIP.  Okay, okay...a little corny but read on!  You must take a look at these gorgeous flowers that are tie dyed.  The mixture of colors makes the flower pop even more.  The flowers that are shown are real stems and have been dyed with hypodermic needles in the stems.  There are even some flowers that don't have to go through this process because of how they were bred.

Tie Dye flowers would go great in a monocromatic arrangement to give that unexpected surprise of color.  Wouldn't these be great for a shower or party?

DIY can be a budget savvy bride's best friend or worst enemy depending on the end result. In this case, a little time in the kitchen can go a long way and save you lots of money.

Over at Style Me Pretty, I saw this DIY project for chocolate covered pretzels and thought that this was amazing and very simple. Not only would this be a great favor for a wedding but for parties... or even to serve on your candy bar.
