Zipper Chic

When I ran across these gorgeous vintage jars wrapped in none other than zippers, I knew I had to share it with you.  I can already think of the things that I could do with them like fill them with fresh flowers for a swank little dinner party or display them on a book shelf or coffee table for a great conversation piece.  I just love this.

Inspiration Board: Houndstooth Bridal Shower

It's Winter time and I couldn't resist creating an inspiration board that includes Houndstooth.  This black and white checker-y pattern is seen mostly on wool coats, hats, scarves, and even shoes. And, it's quite classy might I add.  I believe that this would make for a classic and chic bridal shower, don't you? And, as you can see adding the simple and feminine flower, Anemone, sets the tone just right.  Enjoy browsing the board.

We are happy to now offer custom water bottle labels to you.  For almost four years, we have been creating these chic and inexpensive favor options but has never marketed them until now.  They are perfect for any season and almost any occasion.  As we update our portfolio with our designs, we will post them here for you to see along with ordering information.

Please read before ordering:

Our custom labels are $12 for 24.

The standard size is 2"x 8.5".  Different sizes may be requested prior to ordering with us (and based on availability)

Please measure your water bottle prior to ordering.

The labels are for decorative purposes only and should be used on clean and dry bottles.

You can choose from a label in the album or request a custom design.

Proofs

A digital proof will be sent to the email address that you provide at the time of ordering (be sure to add us to your contacts to avoid mail going to your "junk" folder).  Up to two (2) revisions can be made with your design.

Ink colors may slightly vary on actual product from that of your digital proof.

Payment

We gladly accept payment using PayPal and this service accepts major credit/debit cards...and is SECURE.  An electronic invoice will be sent to the email address that you provide.  

Shipping and Tax

Please allow up to 10 business days to receive your order once it is approved.  Rush orders can be arranged for an additional fee.  Shipping is $5.00 for labels and $2.00 for an additional item.

Arkansas residents:  An 8.25% sales tax will be added along to your order along with shipping.

Princess and the Frog Tea Party

I had the pleasure of planning a beautiful birthday party for a client's daughter.  When she told me that she wanted a Princess and the Frog tea party, I was ecstatic!!!  What a fun party to create for a little girl.  I really enjoyed this movie and did my best to incorporate aspects of the film into the party.  Enjoy the pictures!

Entrance Table.  Included was a treasure of princess pretties for the girls to add to their royal attire.

In the movie, Princess Tiana worked really hard to purchase her own restaurant by keeping all of her tips in a jar.  As you can see, she made it!

The little princesses enjoyed learning the proper way to sip their tea...dainty pinky up!

Our version of Princess Tiana's tasty beignets.  ...powdered donuts!  

After lunch, the princesses were able to make their own pot of  "sweet gumbo".

Mason jars were the perfect containers for the "sweet gumbo" ingredients.

Remember Mama Odie?!  Well, the princesses moved right on over to make their own special glitter lotion.  This was a hit!

Small aprons were provided so that they wouldn't get their royal attire messy.

Help…it’s a potluck!

This is the first year that I have been part of or invited to several office and organizational Holiday potlucks.  Yikes.  My dilemma is, I can cook but am no where near a chef or a casserole diva!  This week alone, I have three potlucks and that’s not including next week.  So, I’ve called on my dear friend, Mr. Google to search for some simple (and I mean simple) dishes that I can tastefully contribute to the Holiday party food menu.

So, I’ve narrowed it down to these options:

• Good ole faithful veggie tray with a (semi) homemade ranch dip
• Sweet potato casserole
• Miniature Chicken and Tortilla Roll-ups
• Spinach Dip
• or, Chicken Quesadillas

 Pretty simple, huh?! And, all of the choices are quite reasonable and won’t break the bank.  And, if you’re planning a Holiday Potluck, Martha Stewart has a neat checklist and timeline for you to use to get you started?

So, do you think I have some pretty good choices for my upcoming Potlucks?  Have any suggestions that are super easy?!

Sunny Side Up

What a great time planning a sunny yellow shower for mommy-to-be, Janairo. At the time, she was preparing for a precious baby boy and she really wanted to use the color yellow (her favorite). I think the sunny details came through great. Congrats, Janairo.

Stylish Cocktails: Non-Alcoholic

Hosting a party and don't want to serve alcohol but still want a sophisticated served beverage?

Start by tossing the small plastic party cup and serve your non-alcoholic mocktails with fabulous stemware.

Then add garnish (i.e. lemons curls, cherries, strawberries, orange peel)

And, embellish. Use beaded stem charms, funky necklaces wrapped around the stem, or any other creative touch that will make the drink stand out.

Tis the season to be...Shopping!

I was searching for some candy cane party items and found these minty beings, edible peppermint shot glasses! I believe they are hot on the market because several sites are already sold out of them. But, I was able to find some at Perpetual Kid for about $6. I'm not a drinker so I won't be adding liquor to mine but I will probably fill them with yummy chocolates. These glasses will certainly be a conversation starter.

Fab Find {on a budget}

I absolutely love to save a client a buck a two {in style} and with these gorgeous flutes from CB2, money and style are complimented. The Valencia flutes are only $4.95, yes you read it right, 4 dollars and ninety-five cents!!!! These would look great sitting on your bridal cake table, given as gifts, or used at your holiday party. I love 'em!

Lil Queen Bee turns 3!

I spend almost each week of every month celebrating occasions with and for others but this past weekend, I had a blast spending it with Lil' Queen Bee (LQB). She turned three on Friday (Sept. 26) and we had her party for a few little girlies on Saturday. LQB began months ago (seriously!) talking about her party from the colors, her outfit, guestlist, and even decor--she wanted pink balloons, bears, and princess stuff;) She woke up on Sunday asking me if she could have another one later on that day....kids are so funny!
