Yaayy!!! We're in Arkansas Bride Magazine!

This past summer we had several beautiful weddings that we took part in.  One in particular was the wedding of Crystal and Vernon Trotter that was so unique, non-traditional, and fabulous that Arkansas Bride Magazine featured them.  How amazing is that?!

The Trotter's uber talented photographer, Jamie Fender, captured the beauty of the day and submitted the photos.  The couple, needless to say, were very excited...I was  AM, too!

Crystal and Vernon enlisted the talent from some of Central Arkansas' best for her wedding. Catering was tastefully provided by Simply the Best Catering, the Arkansas Arts' Center was the gorgeous and contemporary venue, "drop your mouth to the floor" florals and decor were creatively designed by Distinctive Designs by Tanarah, the lounge furniture was provided by Trendstyle Events, wedding planning and pretty paper by Pink Tea Rose Events, vintage transportation was by Vintage Motor Cars, and sounds by DJ Klas'sik Mobile DJ Service.

Congratulations, Crystal and Vernon!

Congrats Delisha and Reginald!

Delisha and Reginald got married this past weekend and I can't wait to share just a few details from their wedding.

I am planning to do this more in the future so you can see why I (and the bride) get so excited about planning. I'll probably even go back in the Pink Vault to share some of our past weddings and events with you.

DeDe (as I tended to call her during planning) and Reggie, we hope you are having a blast with the Cowboys!!!

Y'ermain+Latriece's Modern Invitations

My August couple, Latriece and Y'ermain were a thrill to work with. They wanted photo invitations that truly expressed their style and personalities. PTRE delivered and the invites turned out FABULOUS!

The Front

The Back

The invitations were printed on a heavyweight shiny card and sealed in a metallic pink envelope. Congratulations, Latriece and Y'ermain! I can't wait to share pictures of your recent nuptials, too.

TPTR Real Wedding: Tasha+BJ

I am so behind on sharing some of my client's fabulous pics. I had the pleasure of working with Tasha+BJ this summer and absolutely loved working with them. Her colors were great for the summer and cooled things off here in the South {well atleast mentally}. The pics below include shots of the ceremony, reception, and hotel suite decor. Photos by: Richardson Photography. Reception: The Hilton Hotel-Little Rock, AR. Cake: Mickey's. Decor: The Pink Tea Rose. Chocolate Fountain: Haute Chocolatier.

I See Swirls

I had the opportunity to design an invitation for a fabulous couple who wed on Saturday (Oct.4). I was surprised to see that the invitation was the inspiration for the cake design...how neat! Not only did the cake look good, it was Delicious!

Emergency Wedding

On last week (Wednesday), I was asked to plan a wedding for the upcoming Saturday. AGHHHH! I've never been asked to do something like this before. The reason that I did accept this daunting task is because the bride is a member of my church and her "wedding planner" wasn't planning (no-mo)!

When I did a quick inventory of what she had so far--I nearly wanted to run away for we couldn't use nearly anything that was previously purchased for the wedding. So, The Planning Diva had to make a $1 out of $.15.

In three days, I pulled almost everything I had in my inventory that I could use to get a wedding completed TPTR style. It was definitely tough but the day was pulled off with the spirit of excellence and looked as if we had months to plan.

Hey---but wait a minute! Because the photographers in our area were booked, there was a volunteer relative that said they could do the pictures as long as they had a camera. So, I extended my little Canon Powershot hoping that the pics would be taken. To my dismay, the "photographer" complained about the camera not working for them and couldn't get shots. I had to scoot my planner/director hat over to the side and then put on my "photographer" hat (which I am definitely not, okay?!) I recreated the moments of the bride walking in to taking pictures of the entire day!

Overall, this was a great gift that I extended to the sweet bride. Everything turned out great and most importantly, she was happy! Do I want to do this again...............NO!

I have to give a special thanks to my day of assistants, Monica and Tomeka who worked very diligently without complaint and helped make this day very special for the bride. Thanks, Team Diva!
